Station 1 community room

A gathering place for Apalachin.

The room is available at no cost for qualifying community activities, subject to availability and Fire Department approval.

Room use

Welcoming local groups at our main station.

The community room may be used by Apalachin residents and organizations for qualifying nonprofit, civic, cultural, or educational activities when it is not needed for Fire Department business.

There is no fee to use the room.

Station 1 is located at 230 Pennsylvania Avenue in Apalachin.

Request approval

Tell us about the proposed event, responsible party, attendance, and requested date. The Fire Chief must approve use in advance.

Use the room responsibly

Tables and chairs are available. Food and drinks must remain in the community room. Public use does not include offices, equipment, or the apparatus floor.

Restore and secure

Return the room to its prior setup, clean tables and counters, remove all rubbish and materials, and ensure entry doors are closed and locked.

Important restrictions

Commercial activities, fundraising events, religious activities, political endeavors, gambling, unlawful alcohol or drug activity, hazardous materials, and pets other than guide or service dogs are not permitted.
